STEP 3

Inspection

Our professional technician will start by inspecting the rugs to assess their condition, identify any specific problem areas, and determine the most suitable cleaning methods and products.

Vacuuming/Dusting

Our dusting process begins with a thorough vacuuming of both sides of the area rug with a powerful commercial vacuum cleaner. Once both sides have been vacuumed in two directions, we place the rug face down on a grid and use a specialized dusting machine that provides 40,000 harmonic vibrations per minute. This vibrating action dislodges all deep-set soil, sand, dander, and other contaminants that can rob your rug of its beauty and life expectancy. We offer rug dusting as a stand-alone service for clients that may not require a professional submersion cleaning just yet but do want the dust and soil removed between professional cleanings. Our rug dusting process will not rid your rugs of spots, stains, or odours, but if you have unexpected guests arriving and don’t have time to clean your rugs thoroughly, this is a great alternative.

Spot treatment

If there are any noticeable stains or spots on the rugs, the cleaner will apply appropriate cleaning solutions to target and treat them. The cleaner may use specialised stain-removing products based on the nature of the stains and the rug material.

STEP 6

Pre-spray

A pre-conditioning solution or pre-spray will be applied to the entire surface of the rugs. This solution is designed to break down and loosen dirt, oils, and other residues embedded within the fibers, making them easier to remove during the cleaning process.

Agitation(Optional)

Using a brush or a rotary machine with soft bristles, the cleaner will agitate the pre-spray solution into the rug fibers. This process helps to dislodge and lift dirt and grime from deep within the rugs.

Hot water extraction

The cleaner will use a portable or truck-mounted hot water extraction machine. This machine sprays a mixture of hot water and cleaning solution onto the rugs while simultaneously extracting the solution, along with the dirt and debris, through a powerful vacuum. The hot water helps to sanitize the rugs and remove deep-seated contaminants.

STEP 8

Grooming and finishing touches

Once the rugs are dry, the cleaner may groom the fibres using a soft brush or rake to restore their appearance and texture.

Final inspection

Before completing the process, the cleaner will conduct a final inspection to ensure the rugs are thoroughly cleaned, free of stains, and meet the desired quality standards. If any areas require additional attention, they will address them before considering the job complete.
